Pictionary

May 28th, 2009 — 6:12pm

Waktu kecil, salah satu mainan favorit gue adalah Pictionary. Mungkin memang nggak sepopuler Scrabble atau halma atau ludo atau uler-tangga, atau Monopoly (ohh, how I miss those wonderful board game moments: main ke rumah Janitra, menganut “playing like there’s no tomorrow.”).

Oh iya. Lalu gue menemukan ini:

Menarik sekali kan? :P

(Dalam rangka mengenang favorite childhood board game ini, jadi tumblr gue, gue kasih nama pic.tionary, dengan alamat putyplayspictionary.tumblr.com.

Yang punya tumblr kasih tau aja ya, nanti gue follow :D )

Pointless

The Half of The World I Can’t Understand
(because the other half I can understand is up on the mountain with Dalai Lama, or making beautiful noises in Iceland.)

What’s definitely the point of studying, if you don’t read, and you cheat?

What’s definitely the point of watching TV, if you know you’re too good for it?
(you switch on, and you insult the current Top 40 Indonesian songs with Malaysian melodies. You laughed about dubbed TV serial in Indosiar. You think the people are lame, and you are not. Then what? Who switches the TV on?)

What’s definitely the point of voting in general election, if you don’t bother to understand politic?

What’s definitely the point of being mean to people to get rich,if you know the tale of King Midas?

What’s definitely the point of telling people you believe in God, if you don’t appreciate the trees and mountains?

The Half of The World I Can Understand
(including me because I’m not the other half who is up on the mountain with Dalai Lama, or making beautiful noises in Iceland, yet. I’m planning to, though.)

What’s definitely the point of talking bad about people, if you don’t like them?

What’s definitely the point of criticizing the world, if you don’t give any solution, or save it in time just like Powerpuff Girls?

Me

What’s the point of judging, if you’re half autistic?

What’s the point of crying, if you’re sad everyday?

What’s the point of lying, if you don’t even have a truth?

What’s the point of asking, if you don’t want any answer?

Well. Oke. Menyenangkan :)
And what. I recommend you this; the latest album of The Whitest Boy Alive; Rules. I heart this.

I want to go to Japan and visit Ghibli Museum. I want a new pair of socks. I want to import my old blog archives here. I want to learn driving. I want to meet Acuy and Noumi and Ajeng and Wiena and Bina. I want Diana+ super wide lens. I want to write. I want to be children book author. I want to play on beach. I want to have external hardisk. I want to marry Sean Ono Lennon (kidding heheh). I want Indomie goreng dobel + telor. I want to keep my GPA above 3.5.

I

“Success is getting what you want,
happiness is wanting what you get”

Well, in this case, I want simple things I can get. So when I get it, I really want it. And as the life algorithm goes: I’m simply happy.

II

So what if we can’t get what we want?

Well, people say: “If you can’t get more, then want less.”

Then, I wonder why no one says: “If you can’t want less, then get more.”

I prefer the second one.

You know what, ‘getting more’ is not about being greedy or unlimitedly over-ambitious.

‘Getting more’ is about doing a bit more.
To work a bit harder, study a bit longer, sleep a bit later, wake up a bit earlier, pray a bit deeper.
To run a bit faster.

That’s what my father shows me about life.

III

Isn’t that the exciting part about life?
To want and run.
