Above Ground

I, about a month ago, found an interesting post in someone’s Tumblr (that originally came from here). It was about the sidestream-goes-mainstream lifestyle currently trending, something I used to like to mock. Since people have called me ‘cynical’ and I myself have started my final assignment, there would be no need of further discussion about this. The thing is, in the article, point 11, they mention about feet photographing thing, “(Hipster) A lot of them have pictures of their feet for some odd reason.” This is intriguing because as a non-hipster, I like to take pictures of my feet. Even that Christian Sugiono does too. Well, my (odd) reason is simply because it tells quite a lot. It tells about the ground; it tells about where I stood. It tells about which pair of shoes I wore; it tells about who I was. It tells about moment and what I felt left unsaid. More like a private personal record. Here are some of my favorites: Karangsambung Kawah Putih Resort World Sentosa Him and me :) …

So, what’s up with life?

After entering college, I barely wrote about my life in detail. It’s different from back then, when I was able to report even single piece of skirt I just bought. However, now, I just think I’m living it right: I study and I laugh and I write and I take photos and I read and I hike and I compete and I love and so much more. So, there the time flies. I’d start my final project of college on January and plan to graduate by October. Hey there bloggers, what’s up with life?

Everybody has plans while God has reasons. As much as we all have wanderlust. It is a feeling when you see the train coming, and you want to jump in, leave, and never look back. It is a feeling of missing fresh salmon or the butter cookies while holding beer in plastic cup. The flowers in the window and the colors of house walls. We all are dreaming but we are so good at lying. So everyone lies while God always has reasons.
