From My Boat, I Can See Your House

So last weekend I went to Guinness Arthur’s Day held in JIExpo with Agun. Many many thanks for Simbok Venus who gave the tickets for free and for Roy, who got them for us. I knew it was another universe conspiracy that brought me to Mew once again after their performance in Java Rocking Land 4 years ago. We didn’t plan to come until it was almost 00:00 on Friday night when I scrolled Twitter timeline and found Mbok Venus’ telling she had 5 tickets left. 2 tweets later, I got them. So right after grabbing the prize I told here, we went to JIExpo. Winning Books & Beyond Traveling Essay Contest Pt.2

Alhamdulillah I won the Traveling Essay Contest held by Books & Beyond. This traveling contest was held for the second time and many many thanks to Riri for reminding me again after I skipped the first one (guess who won the first prize for the first one? Naya Moeda, hahaha *wink then toast*). I wrote my impression about Andalusia and how it kept the history and silently retold the story. In 500 characters and 7 photos pressed in 2 pages of A4, I described a bit about my history, a piece about Albayzin, and also a bit about Alhambra. Still the most important message was about the change in life. I’m not publishing it here and soon because Books & Beyond told me that it’s going to be published in some print media :’) The announcement was done last Saturday in Lippo Mall Kemang, Jakarta, during a talkshow by Miss Jinjing. Thanks Ayah, Bunda & Agun for coming and being the greatest support system :) I got huge parcel of Delfi chocolate, voucher from Books & Beyond …
