Hello, all!
Happy (belated) New Year from me :) We’re still in the middle of the first month of 2021 yet we can see a little light at the end of the tunnel: vaccination has started. We’re hoping for the best, aren’t we?
Meanwhile, I have decided to create and share a printable personal zine template to reflect on 2020. 2020 was noisy and full of news, but we all have our versions of the story. I believe that every human being has a unique perspective and every story is worth telling, without being judged as too ordinary or too little. While media like television, magazine, or other digital news platform are driven by the need to engage so advertisers would be happy, this free printable personal zine will put you as the subject. You can write it from your point of view, you can read it or if you think that your story is worth spreading, you can distribute it by yourself; digitally or by photocopying the printed version. Unlike a conventional magazine, there’s no need to think about advertisement slot. Unlike social media, there’s no pressure to get liked or commented.
I hope by writing in this printable zine, we can reflect on what was possibly the worst year for younger people and most of all, owning our own stories.
3. You can write on the zine digitally or print all the pages first then use your pen or markers to write on it.
4. You can keep the zine for yourself. You can share it if you want, but please keep in mind that the point of this activity is writing and owning your own story. Don’t let the decision to share it later affect what you are going to write.
Enjoy!
